Amanda Blake
Amanda Blake (born Beverly Louise Neill) was a popular American actress. Her most famous role was being the actress who played Miss Kitty Russell in the TV film 'Gunsmoke'. Alongside this, she has appeared in TV shows like "The Red Skelton Show", "Tattletales" and "The Edge of Night". Additionally, she appeared in numerous other movies like Stars In My Crown, Duchess of Idaho. Cattle Town. Crusoe,?"About Mrs. Leslie",?The Adventures of Hajjibaba,??High Society? The Boost??. Blake had been working as a telephone operator and a fan of animals. Along with her husband Frank Gilbert, was one of the first to successfully breed cheetahs in captivity. This American actress was also one of the co-founders for the Arizona Animal Welfare League (AAWL). It was her first chairman of the board of Humane Society of the United States. Blake has been awarded many honors such as being inducted into the Hall of Great Western Performers of the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum. Blake was also awarded the Courage Award by the American Cancer Society.
